6 Key Components In Quality Coach Training

What actually happens in Bridges Coach Training? Here we go!

You'll meet online 3 times for a group class with all who are in your cohort at the beginning, middle, and end of your training. In between those gatherings, you will meet with your peer partner and your facilitator, also likely online - which makes distance not a problem and eliminates travel time. Our low ratios of trainer to trainee are unparalleled.

1) We start with a clear definition of coaching.

There are many definitions, and different concepts, about what "coaching" really is. A fair amount of our trainees came to us because they felt they were good at guiding people to what they should do. Sports Coaches do that. Leadership Consultants often interchange the word "coach" with what they do.

At Bridges Coaching, we align with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and Christian Coaches Network International (CCNI), whose definitions do not include any form of telling others what to do, but rather providing an environment that evokes awareness of what the person being coached is discerning.

A good coach encourages the coachee to decide the goal, the pathway they feel is best to move toward it and the timing of each step along the way.

2) We build on the two foundational pillars of coaching.

Learning the art of Active Listening and Asking Empowering Questions are what good coaching builds upon. Coach training adds these tools to your conversational tool belt.

3) We include multiple experiences being coached.

Bridges includes 4 personal coaching sessions. You get coached AND you get to observe your peer partner being coached as well. This is a game changer and is rarely offered in the first level of coach training.

4) We provide a unique-to-Bridges pathway to structure the conversational growth - the ROAD.

Recognition - the value of singular focus

Ownership - a review of obstacles that have held someone back and how to remove them

Action Steps - building strong SMART goals

Dedication - how to celebrate the achievement and maintain the gain

5) We help you host your first 4 coaching sessions.

We'll walk you through engaging with an actual coachee and give you valuable feedback.

6) Bridges Coach training results in Life Coach certification and is your first step toward credentialing.

This training gives you 27 hours of voice-to-voice training needed for credentialing with ICF or CCNI.
